Finlite Grassroots Initiative (formerly FinLiteCore) was founded to assist underserved women entrepreneurs in gaining access to financial programs and resources that will elevate them above the poverty line thereby promoting upward economic mobility and helping them to be financially stable.
Founded in 2019, Finlite Grassroots Initiative builds on the legacy and proven model that all people can lift themselves out of poverty by maximizing their own entrepreneurial potential and dramatically altering the trajectory of poverty for themselves, their household, and their community.
Research has it that more than 40 million people live in poverty in Nigeria. The World Bank defines extreme poverty as those living on less than $1.90 a day. Many of these families are not able to make ends meet; they are often working at meager jobs or struggling to get their micro-scale businesses off the ground.
